6 Remote Work Tips for Maximum Comfort and Productivity

Remote work has many benefits, like saying goodbye to the commute time! However, this experience can come with new challenges.

Lack of motivation and stress can affect our emotional state.

These simple tips can help you tackle these issues and improve your productivity and motivation. Let’s get started!

1. Create and Stick to a Routine

If you work remotely, it may feel like your day is less structured than if you had a traditional job.  Sticking to a routine will help your brain to create a separation between working time and personal time.

Get up, take a bath, eat breakfast as you would do when going to your workplace. Also, when your working schedule stops, stop working. Use your free time to focus on personal hobbies, exercise, or take a rest. By doing so, you will maintain a good work-life balance.

2. Create a Dedicated Office Space

If possible, find a quiet place away from distractions. Away from people and sounds from TV or others.

If you don’t have a spare room in your house, you can dedicate a desk or table to your workspace. Try to have everything you will need in there like pencils, your agenda, and peripherals. Only focus on your work while you are in this area. By doing this, you can create a mental and physical barrier between your work and personal life.

3. Pick and Prioritize your Tasks

Instead of being super specific on planning out the time in which you will do every single thing. You can pick and write your 3 top tasks of the day and try your best to get them done.

This will increase your productivity and will give you a sense of reward when you finish them.

4. Avoid Working in Your Pajamas

You don’t have to waste your good clothes and dress like you are going to work. Find something else like leggings or a matching set so you don’t feel unprofessional.

Just try to avoid your bed wear because it will make you feel sleepy and slow. Doing this will also help your brain distinguish between working time and personal time.

5. Take a break every once in a while

Give your body and your mind some time to relax. You can use this time to take a walk or get a snack. You can also take a small social media break of around 10 minutes.

This will refresh your mind, allowing you to refocus on your tasks.

6. Decide which products you may need

Make your space tidy and prepare your workspace to be more comfortable. Here are some nice gadgets to boost your efficiency.

Check the list below:

  1. Wirelessly Display Your Presentations to a Bigger Screen: EZCast TwinX allows you to extend your laptop/MacBook to your TV as a second monitor. With it, you can also wirelessly display your presentations on a bigger screen.

  2. Add another monitor to your PC: Sometimes 1 or 2 monitors aren’t enough. Use MagicLink or EZCast Ultra to amplify your screen options.

  3. Wirelessly Project Content and Multitask: Working with a projector will reduce eye stress and allow you to multitask more effectively. For example, a projector like EZCast Beam H3 will allow you to have an online meeting on your laptop while still projecting your ppt.
