EZCast made its mark at Computex 2023 in Taipei, showcasing wireless display products built on its proprietary technology — including the EZCast Pocket series and the all-new Compact Mate line. With an ultra-compact form factor, low latency, and plug-and-play simplicity requiring no Wi-Fi or app downloads, EZCast demonstrated that the wireless display future is closer than ever.

Peer-to-Peer EZCast Wireless Technology

EZCast uses its proprietary protocol to transmit content wirelessly from devices such as set-top boxes, computers, smartphones, and gaming consoles to large screens including monitors, televisions, and projectors via peer-to-peer wireless transmission. Content is transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver, replacing traditional HDMI cables and easily eliminating the spatial limitations imposed by wired connections. No Wi-Fi network connection or app download is required — simply plug in the device and it will automatically pair and connect, making it truly plug-and-display convenient.

Compact, Low-Latency — The Future of Wireless Display Is Just Around the Corner

The EZCast Pocket and Compact Mate series utilize a new chipset developed by Actions Microelectronics, shrinking the product form factor down to an ultra-compact size of 2cm × 2cm — small enough to fit inside an HDMI connector. In terms of performance, the chipset supports transmission distances of 30 to 50 meters or more, with a latency of just 50 milliseconds. Through the Pocket and Compact Mate products developed using Actions Microelectronics' chipset, traditional display cables are set to be progressively replaced by wireless alternatives in the foreseeable future. The tangled display cables cluttering office desks and living rooms will, much like corded telephone handsets, ultimately become a thing of the past.

The All-New Compact Mate Series

True to its name, the all-new Compact Mate is extremely compact and portable — small enough to fit in a pocket or bag. No app installation or Wi-Fi network is required, making it truly plug-and-display ready for use between mobile devices and televisions. In addition to supporting HDMI devices such as laptops, the Compact Mate series also supports smartphones and tablets with USB-C ports that use the DisplayPort video transmission protocol. Below are the contents and interfaces for each version of the newly launched Compact Mate2, Compact Mate3, and Compact Mate4:

· Compact Mate2: HDMI/USB-C Transmitter + HDMI Receiver

· Compact Mate3: USB-C Transmitter + HDMI Receiver

· Compact Mate4: USB-C Transmitter + HDMI Receiver. When connected to a USB power adapter, mobile devices can be charged through the Mate 4 transmitter.
