How to Update EZLauncher Firmware

This instruction shows how to manually update firmware of your EZLauncher box product through PC tool instead of updating it Over-the-Air.

Due to the design complexity, you will need some tools to do it.

1. Micro USB to USB TypeA cable: This will help you to connect the box with PC.

2. A Windows PC with OS above Win 7.

After you have prepared all tools you need, you can start to update FW. Here are the procedures as follows:

Step 1. Enter download mode:

Please make sure you have installed our update tool on your PC.

Press and Hold the EZLauncher’s button, and connect it to PC though USB to enter update mode. The EZUpdate tool will detect EZLauncher automatically within around 5 seconds.

Note: If your PC Update tool shows the photo to request driver as follows, then the detection is completed. You can release the button and select “Install from a list or specific location” from EZUpdate folder to install needed driver. If your PC didn’t pop up the driver request, please re-do Step2

*the pop up message will not be shown correctly if you didn’t enter download mode successfully.

Please select “Install from a list or specific location”, and direct to the folder of our download tool installed, find “ADFU Driver” folder, then clock next, the driver will be installed automatically.

*if you didn’t install driver correctly, please repeat step 1~2.

Step 2. Update EZLauncher:

Execute our FW update tool: “EZUpdate.exe”, the device will be found and shown as “Connect 1 ADFU device” as follows.

Click “Check Version”, the tool will start to compare the FW version between box and our cloud server. If the tool shows “No Version Info”, you can ignore it and keep upgrading the FW.

*please be noted your PC must connect to internet first.

After the update is done, please unplug the box and connect to TV to enjoy latest FW version!
